2019 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid

Our 2017 burned in a house fire. Everyone is okay, but the car was not. Sucked bad! Had every option the wife wanted. Was $165,000 car. Anyway, we have been driving a Panamera lease since then. Now it's time to get a new Cayenne. The question for the forum is, do we order a Cayenne Turbo or wait for the Turbo S E-Hybrid?? I am willing to wait if anyone has any details about when they will be released. I've tried to search the web and specific information has been scarce. Let me know what you think. Buy now or wait? Thanks!

There's a really nice 09 957 Turbo S for sale on Rennlist by nychase for under $40k with under 50k miles. Buy that and pocket the $100,000. That's a whole lot of fuel for the MPG difference the hybrid will buy you and you won't have to deal with the new annoyances of the more modern cars, like Auto start/stop, lane departure warning, auto cruise, etc.

No way I could go backward from a 2017 to a 2009. We had a ‘07, then an ‘11 and then bought the new ‘17. The ‘17 was so amazing compared to either of the previous ones. My wife wants adaptive cruise. And so do I. I have no idea why anyone would not want it. I admit I hated it the first few times I used it but quickly grew to love it. Bottom line is, my wife is not going to take anything less than a new one.

Just figured I'd throw it out there. Funny, as there's no way I would go forward from the 2009 I have, which is why I specifically sought out a super low mileage one (30k) so I can keep it for the next 15 years - it's probably my last Cayenne unless the trend changes, but I'm sure it won't. I can't stand all the driver assist gizmos that lead to even more distracted driving. I love the raw feel of the 957, the more masculine shape, and greater cargo space from the hatch design. I guess, and I'm lucky that my wife feels the same as I do about all the tech in cars. Different strokes for different folks.

The dealership has the info and build slots for the Turbo S releasing soon.

The 2019 Cayenne and Cayenne is already here at the dealerships awaiting for the release date from Porsche which is 11/25 and 12/3 respectively. I just got to sit in the 19 that the dealership just got the other day.

My Turbo is already on vessel and will arrive in SD on 11/2. Will be held until Porsche date of sale which is 11/30. From my understanding, the build slots can be inputted with options soon but confirmation of order by Porsche won't happen for a couple months. I would order and get exactly what you want.

I had all the previous version of the Cayenne's and there was no way I would go backwards. The 958 was a drastic improvement in every way compared to the previous model and I am sure the driving dynamics of this would be no different but a huge improvement from the 958.

We have any allocation from the dealer that we want. The question is, build and buy now or wait for the Turbo S E-Hybrid which is NOT yet available.
