Exclamation 2004 Porsche Cayenne shifts into neutral while driving

Hello,

I have a 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo and while driving the car seems to shift into neutral on its own.The brakes all of a sudden do not work and when
I press on the accelerator it just revs but does not go anywhere. I have searched everywhere and cannot find anything similar in these forums.

Symptoms

- When driving at low speeds or idle with my foot on the break I hear a click
- My car then seems to shift into neutral where the brakes and accelerator do not respond
- The engine is still running but my car is stuck in a neutral state
- I need to turn off the engine and start the car and most of the time it works fine again

The thing is it happens maybe once or twice a month so it is very hard to reproduce.

Anyone experience this or have an idea of what I should be looking at?

Same neutral slip issue

I have the same issue right now. Did you find any answers? If I find anything I will let you know.
