Radio doesn't allow for a reset code - Just "PROTECT"

I have a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S with a Becker radio and Bose system. I understand the radio is a PCM 2. The radio is a CBR23 E1. I had a Bluetooth adapter installed and now my radio immediately goes into PROTECT mode. I tried downloaded the unlock code from an internet service, but there is no place or time for me to enter it into the radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure all connectors are firmly in place. I had this happen on my old 996 and the root cause was one of the fiber connectors loose in the back.

Hey guys, I know this is an older thread. I’ve looked around on Rennlist and a few other forums with no luck. My CDR23 I just got plugged in will only show Protect mode. I haven’t been able to get to the enter code screen. The only thing unplugged on the back is the radio antenna. Would this cause it to stay in protect mode? All other connections are secure.

ANY Help is greatly appreciated!
