Dyno Day (11.15.08)
I thought GTRs were making more power then advertised and that's why Porsche said their ring times were invalid? Wouldn't it be even more impressive if they were making less power then advertised? Not choosing sides...just what I recall.

Porsche was stating their ring times were not accurate due to tires I'm pretty sure, not HP.
Ohh that would make sense too. I feel like I heard somewhere that they were advertised at like 475hp but making almost that at the wheels. Anyways, i've got the new camera and will catch up on the manual so I know how to use it tomorrow!
Harvey - I just realized that I know your brother through our buddy John H. And actually ran with your WRX off a light once in boulder once in my 01 S4. Pretty sure i remember slipping the clutch pretty bad and stinking up the block when i parked :-)
Small world. I'll see you in the morning.

The guys at sea level are telling me the GT-R puts down average 420-440 average stock on the Dyno Dynamics.
It was great having EPL in the hizzie. Good work making power. I see you got the boost to hold on the 28s!

Apparently Porsche has a GTR and couldn't get even close to the published Ring times. There was some controversy a month or two ago. I'm sure they are quick, but not Ring quick, and not many want to void the warranty with the quick launch mode.
