Why didn't you get the 50D instead?

I've seen enough reviews of owners who liked their 40D better. There are several things that I didn't like about the 50D, 100% crops show it has more noise among other things. If I was going to spend 50D money also I would have just gotten a 5 and a 1.4tc for my lens.

Damn Blu3, you are hatin on the skylines :-)
The controversy I read about was around the same time and Porsche was running a skyline and was chalking up the time differences to rubber.
Do they really have a launch mode that voids warranty if used? I had heard in the Gallardo launch mode that it would burn the clutch within 5-6 launches, but Todd and Lambo Denver (who is reportedly one of the best lambo tech's in the world...that is reportedly by people other than lambo denver :-)) said that was BS and that as long as I didnt overrev Lambo would even probably warranty the clutch if I burned it out that fast (provided I do it properly).

...so who knows of a spot I can test launch mode without getting arrested? anyone willing to run a video camera of it? cause the only one I have seen taped was pretty badass - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghIBKiO6pX0

You also have to realize it's a Porsche driver in a GTR. The driver did not have nearly as much experience as Nissan's driver behind the wheel.

Our GTR put down 428.1 WHP (corrected). Thanks Harv!

So what #s did everyone put down? Curious as tony from EPL was here tuning my car last week. Using there standard 1.15 correction factor we did 530 whp on race gas. Supposedly elavation and that particular dyno are at play. Real curious as to what kind of #s everyone else was seeing. Cheers.

Yeah dude, after seeing your car today, I wouldnt say their ring time controversy is due to driver or rubber or nothing but the fact that the GTR makes MAD power on that stock engine. More than stated by the mfg anyway...thats rad and it looks kick *** in black :-)

Adam - you saw above what the GTR did. The Gallardo did 363 at its peak on its best pull, and sounded insanely cool doing it :-) It probably had a few more in it if we could get it to fully breathe properly, but I had heard about 366awhp and 420ish rwhp on some dynos down at sea level...so it's probably pretty close.
Ill be interested to see what the UrQ does by comparison, cause it should be in the 400s somewhere and weigh hundreds less than the lambo. Also will be interested to see what an exhaust and intake does to the G.

Nice dave. Would have loved to make up there but had a conflict. G must have sounded incredible! Let me know when you plan to dyno the coupe, maybe i can make it up there. Do you know what correction factor everyone was using?

I'll definitely let you know when I go back up.
Not 100% sure on the correction. I know he used a slightly different one on mine based on it being NA, but not sure on the boosted cars...

Pretty sure there was video of the pulls taken that will be posted to youtube or something soon :-)

I think it was a 1.15 CF.
