Do you have more info on this? Is it $150 per person and open to anyone?

Hit their website. I think the $150 rate is for all day. I'm just running the afternoon session, which opens up at 12:30, and it's $90.

On their site, you click the event, and just enter your credit card info, and you're good to go.

From what I gather, it's just a lapping event. Track is open, and you can go out and run- I don't know if there are even run groups or not.

For me, it's just a final shakeout session for another event I'm doing later this month down in TX.

Did you end up running out there? $90 isn't bad. How was it overall?

Well, the track day was scheduled for tomorrow, which ain't happening, unfortunately.

I've been around the track in my car, and it's definitely the best track CO has ever seen (IMHO). Big hills, long sweepers, some speed, a little of everything.

So here I sit, watching the rain/snow outside.........and my gear bag inside........and a prepped car in the garage.

I'm having a tough time finding my happy place right now.....

Do you get a refund? If not, how would you feel about splitting track time in a AWD car? ;-)

HA! I let them keep the cash, and got a raincheck for another day.

For just a millisecond, your AWD reference made me miss my APR Stage III Audi A4 I used to have.

It was a fun little rocket. (Considering it only had 4 cylinders, aka "half a motor")

Have you ever driven a stage 3 S4? It's pretty fun. Mine even goes around corners a little with upgraded suspension and a widebody allowing for 257/35-18's at all four corners. Probably nothing like your vette though!

No, I haven't- I'd imagine it's quite a ride- I always wanted to do the widebody on mine when I had it, but never got it done.

I had H&R's with Bilsteins, S4 sways, strut brace, etc, and that sucker was glued to the track.

I dunno, your corner speeds might be higher than the Vette, although mine runs a 325/30/19 in the rear, but I'm "RWD-limited".

Keep an eye on the HPR schedule- and this thread- and we'll hit the make up day out there and lay some rubber down on that track!

That sounds like a plan. I've never been on a track but really want to go. Definitely this year!

Well, the car survived the 150mph class at the Big Bend Open Road Race last weekend, so it's probably time to go run it some more.

I'm going to the afternoon session tomorrow at HPR, weather permitting.

If anyone is going, please say hello!
