NEED HELP, I swear the worst 24 hours that has every existed!!!

oh my, the worst 24 of my life have just occured.

There was a fun weekend planned. My parents and older sister were coming to Oxford,MS to vistit me at Ole Miss. It was also the 130th aniversary of my fraternity so fun events for planned for the whole weekend.

We started by going to a party at aound 8pm. I do not drink so i agreed to be the designated driver. After the party the four of us went to a bar.

Here is where the horrible events start. My mother receives a call that her mother, my grandmother, has stopped breathing. She has been taken to the hospital and is breathing. The doctors words were "she is in the process of dying, you need to hurry." Oxford to Memphis is roughly 90 miles on a 4-lane highway the entire way. We leave as soon as possible and rush to memphis.

We arrive at the emergency room and see my grandmother along with the rest of our family. She is on a bed receiving oxygen but is in very bad shape with a weak heart beat. My sister, the rest of my family and I leave around 4:30 am to get some sleep and my parents agree to sta with my grandmother. We had planned on all returning at 7:00am.

I receive a call around 5:30 that she has passed away and I need t come pick my parents up at the hospital.

The following morning, myfather and I return to Oxford to retrieve my parents things from the rental condo and get my car so that I can drive back to oxford after the service for my grandmother.

When I arrive at my house in Oxford, I discover that my car has been egged. And it has been sitting there in the sun.

What products can I use to remove the egg from places where i cannot get any kind of tool or brush. It has seeped into the cracks around the trim and trunk. IS there a slvent that i can use that will dissolve the egg and then i can rinse it out?

Thanks for all the help.

Thanks man, I am calm now. I just need something to keep my mind occupied with everything going on now. Looks like tomorrow will be a calming day at the track with the S4. Driving always helps me calm down.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss and all the other hectic events going on in your life. It seems that things have calmed down for you a bit. As for your questions about the egg, just wash the car and clay the areas affected. Any areas you cannot reach, you may need a pressure washer at the local wash bay or it will dissolve as time goes on with washing. The most important symptom of an egging is the cracked paint from the shell. Hope this helps and let us know if my diagnosis works.

Thanks, here is what i did with the egg.
1) Wash with double srength bucket of Griots Garage Autowash
2) Cover All areas with P21 AutoWash
3) Rub AutoWash in with a wet sponge.
4) Rinse car with DI Water
5) Dry off
6) Griot's Garage Paint Prep to get rid of any waxes or polishes on the point
7) rinse again with DI water
8) Clay the entire car with Griots garage clay and Speed Shine (great stuff by the way)
9) Polish with EDGE glue pad and Mezerna 85 something
10) Polish again with less aggressive menzerna polish
11) applies two coats of Menzerna FMJ

For the most part it is all gone but i still need to do some touch up work on the trunk when the paint is chipped in tiny little speck (no bigger than .75mm diameter). There are maybe 10-15 of them within a 1.5inch radius fo where the egg hit. When i got back and saw those eggs i was ready to kill someone.

Thanks man, does audi do the small ammounts of touch up paint like BMW does? If so could you order me a brilliant black one and the clear coat too and i will pick them up next week when I am hoe for thanksgiving break.

I am talking about those little hobby sized bottles, they maybe have 20-30ml of paint in them.

yeah, they do. also we have an excellent shop that can do the touch up for you, they use a syringe for precision, and the net results are pretty impressive once they are finished. I could hook you up with them if you'd like, just let me know....

Hearts and prayers go out to you and the family. I lost my grandmother about a year ago and it's still pretty tough to digest. I'm still grieving the loss because in my mind how can someone so close to ones heart just be gone. Having family and friends to talk to seems to help a lot. I know for myself I made a little memorial in honor of my grandmother in my room with pictures and her ashes. Take care and take things slow.
