Convertible care...

I just bought a new Convertible. My first ever. How do I wash it? What do I use to clean it? I have a boars hair brush...will that work? Do I need to protect it with some type of scotch guard? Thanks!

you can wash it with normal car wash and a mitt/gentle brush when it's soiled. normally, the top will stay pretty clean and just rinse it with a hose. don't wash it with a mitt too much.

use a pet hair roller to rid dust, lint etc. best cleaning tool and super easy to use.

if u have a plastic window, use a protectant on it to polish and treat it often. you can get it from dealer.

every 6-10 mo, you can spray a top protectant on it to waterproof and protect it from UV damage. i use the spray from porsche and have heard top guard or top garrd is a good brand too.

3M Makes a good pet hair roller and you can pick them up at Costco or Target. Also, the Airmax blower works great for the top as well. And the added bonus is you dry your car without ever touching it. Just another option.

Moe, will the blower alone get the top dry? What do you like to use on the platic windows?

The blower will be an excellent multi-tool to dry the car and get the lint off the convertable top. As for the clear plastic window on older porsches and newer ferrari spiders, zymol hd-cleanse polish will work great.
