OK, Detailing Products...what are Your top 3 Brand Recommendations
Yeah, it's a good wax, but you better be able to sell it or love the hell out of your personal vehicle if you plan on buying it.
I think Todd nailed it pretty much, not a day goes buy when I do not hear "what wax do you use". Really sorting out your car requires prep with the right products and techniques,I have found Chemical Guys to have the most products that I use on a day to day basis, also I use P&S products for thier wheel cleaners and they have a great natural matte look tire dressing.
Now not to hijack this thread, but after the incredible buzz about Meguiars ultra cut compound(M-105)on autopia, detailing bliss etc... and a real good review by Todd who posted before me I picked up a quart to try out this week, now I have been using System One for over three years and have not found any compound that could beat it... until this week,my only gripe with System One is the dusting factor I even added water per Tom Horvaths suggestion and that really did not do the trick.
I have done three different cars this week with the M-105, a Buggati, audi S5,and a 67 Camaro with solvent based urethane paint and the results were fantastic!! low dusting, finishes off real clean almost lsp ready and as Todd said in his review a little goes a long way. The cut is so fast without scouring,I have a 07 Ferrari 430 Tuesday so I will see how it is on the PPG ceramic paint, it's so funny the only Meguiars products I have are the backing plates and finish pads.Meguiars has hit a home run with this product.

M105 works awesome on new Ferrari's. Brian and I did an F430 a couple days ago (one that had been polished perviously but was torn up from the track) and used M105 on a LC White Pad to remove 90 percent of the defects, and leave a *near* LSP ready finish. In hindsight, I would have probably skipped the white pad and gone started with a purple wool pad to keep the heat down and grab a little more cut. Even with purple wool and a compound, you can finish with a blue/grey LC pad (or Meg's Solo Finishing or standard finishing) and a final polish and be near flawless. Nothing cuts faster, cleaner, and leaves a better finish behind (realitive) IME.
Here are a couple pictures from the F430...
Sorry for the overexposure in the first picture, I take all my photos in manual mode and I should have dialed in more apeture..
Yeah, anybody who tracks their MV Auguts Tamburini and S63 (with the family strapped in) as well as a 850 hp Twin Turbo 427 Vette rocks. Hell, he got his wife a Cayman S so he could track that as well. I think the Range Rover is the next thing we will see sliding around Moroso.
For OTC, Duragloss is about as good as it gets (and again performs very well).
While Vintage is the best I have personally used, I have heard nothing but great things about Swissvax, and there line is generally cheaper.
Also, the new P21s 100% Carnuaba wax is priced at 50 or dollars, features the highest carnuaba content on the market, at least 95 percent as good as Vintage for 1/35 the price.
You can expect Vintage to last 2-3 months if you car is used reguarly, while P21s is good for 4-6 weeks. So it will need more frequent upkeep, but at the huge price difference almost makes that redundent, IMO.
Also Chemical Guy's Pete's 53 is an amazing wax with a solid 2-3 months of durablity and cost about the same as P21s, so that could be a good option as well.
Thanks guys. I believe I am going to go with Chemical Guys.
Can someone answer a question for me? I want to buy one of their detail kits that comes with a glaze. What is the point of a glaze? Its not wax and its not polish right? When and why would I use it?

Glazes are typically used to fill in swirl marks and imperfections. The only downside is that a glaze doesn't have much durability and probably won't last after your first wash. Thus the swirls will reappear. If you are set on a glaze I would recommend EZ Creme Glaze from CG. It is compatible with both synthetics and carnuaba toppers.
