Waxing with Plexus

When cleaning my summer wheels last autumn I tried lots of different waxes. Found out that Plexus made the surface very smooth and slippery.

Today when I was detailing my girlfriends BMW I got tired and bored after the polishing. I then remembered my experience with the wheels, and tried it on the car. The car got very smooth and shiny and it was done in less than 10 minutes!! I don't know how long it will last but it was very easy.

Sombody else who has done this? Whats your experience.

I will try to post some pictures later.

Isn't Plexus a plastic/acrylic polish?

Many products will give a quick shine, that is true, but this will not last and through prolonged use of products like these will cause the paint to deteriorate and become dull on the surface.

Then after a while you will hear, that surface is so dull, I guess it needs to be buffed out.

So, let's start out correctly by applying a coating to the surface that does what it is supposed to do and that is to protect the surface and give a long lasting shine.

How long it will last I don't know, but to say that the Plexus makes the clearcoat dull I can't understand. If it makes the clear coat dull, then it at least must make plastic dull also... In worst case, I will buff the car.

Anyway this is a test. Just wondered if anyone else had tried it out. I'll keep you updated.

I gotta say, those pics look great. I could imagine it would polish the surface up nicely, though offer absolutely no protection. Just like a standard polish, you dont get any protection unless you follow up with a sealer/wax (unless an all in one of course).

I did polish with a Menzerna 85RD and Makita rotary first. Then sprayed Plexus on and dried with microfiber. So far the Plexus feels like a sealer.
