Any product advice?
Any product advice?
Hi everyone
Any advice on what products to use on this car? Picked it up about two weeks ago. The previous owner took good care of it, fortunately!
Currently I am washing it with Adam's Car Wash (two bucket method), and cleaning wheels with Adam's All Purpose Cleaner.
Any advice on the type of polish, wax, and wheel sealant to use? I don't want to spend an outrageous amount on anything! Any good websites for ordering good brushes, towels, etc.?
Also, sorry if there's a huge detailing guide I missed!
Finally, is it normal for the brakes to stutter/feel weird after washing? I assume this is just rust!
Thanks in advance,
Evan
PS- This is what the car looked like after being driven home from dealer.

Congrats on your new car! It looks great already. I have a Carrera S too. After I wash it I pull it in the garage where it normally sits for a few days at least. The next time I back it out the brakes do feel weird as though they're stuck. I think it's normal. My BMW does the same thing. I'm sure some smart person on here could tell you why it does it.
I'll leave the product advice to the experts on here. My only comment is that detailing for me has been a bit addictive. I started out buying a few products, but after I saw how great they worked I have just been buying more. I used to dread washing the car but now that I know what I'm doing (somewhat) and have the right products I really enjoy getting the car clean. I think it's worth buying the quality products rather than saving a few dollars at the local discount store.
Good luck on your next detail! Hope you'll post some pics afterwards.

Congrats!!!! Car looks great! I love the color.
I also am a new pcar owner and like the above poster am totally addicted to detailing my car now.
I have been buying products from Phil at detailers domain (sponsor) Him and Moe (another sponsor) are the most active here for advice.
Right now in my arsenal I have:
Adams car wash
Optimum No Rinse (for light washes and making detail spray)
Adams Clay bar
Enz Cockpit Prem for interior
P21s Gel for wheel cleaner
Mother Metal Polish for wheels and tips
Black Wow for exterior rubber
micro fiber towels (like 20 16x16; 12 12x14)
Micro fiber wash pad
Grit guard for bucket
assorted foam pads for applying wheel black stuff
Lusso revitalize cleaner for wax prep
Lusso Oro for Carnuba wax
Meguirs NXT for syn wax
Flex Orbital for polishing with LC Yellow, Green, White and blue pads
Mez Super intensive polish and 106FA finish polish
Micro fiber wash detergant
So far I love all the product. It is very easy to get carried away. I myself found it easier by detailing wifes vehicle also (test technique and gain points to purchase stuff)
