Smoke Detailed - Black S4 Correction

This is another one of my older details. The paint had quite a bit of swirls and requied about 10hours of straight corrrection.

I used Megs M105 Ultra cut compound 1-2x depending on the level of defect and then finished with 3M ultrafina. Zaino was the LSP

Nice job.

Now imagine what you could do if you actually used some quality products!

Seriously though, this goes to show that skill plays as much a role as the product when detailing. You got the most out of the Megs - I will give you that.

I like Zaino. It is just a pain to apply correctly. And what am I supposed to do for 30 minutes while I let it "cure". It's not cement.

Homey abused his ash tray didn't he!

Megs M105 happens to be a very good compound, one of the best I have used actually. Yes, its finicky and needs to be worked in a very meticulous way but it does work very well, especially on such a hard clear coat like the one on this Audi. I use gloss it extreme cut now in place of it because it can cut just as well but it works more like a polish but I will never throw away M105 UCC. And I guarantee Powergloss from Menzerna(a brand I would consider "high end") would not have been able to work out some of the deeper swirls and RIDS in this Auid paint. Just because its Meguiars doesnt mean its not a quality product.

Great job again Smoke! How do you like the Powerstick? Does it sling any? How good does it really do? I am interested in adding this to my wheel cleaning arsenal.
