Gloss-it Detail Ferrari 360 / Signature Gloss

I wanted to share this awesome detail job by Brian Hare from Detail Werkz. Brian is our Exclusive Gloss-it Distributor / Authorized Signature Detailer for the Ft Worth Dallas area. Brian also is an tech advisor for gloss-it. He brings years of detail experience and paint correction knowledge to showing the gloss potential. Enjoy his recent work!

This is a long term client of mine that has been a Zaino freak for as long as I have known him. I did not tell him that I had changed products from Zaino to Gloss-It. He wanted his usual treatment including 5 extra coats of polish.

So I decided to do a test. With out telling him, I used the Gloss-It Signature Gloss polish and layered an additional 5 extra coats on the paint.

I started out striping off the previous Zaino off the vehicle by using a strong alkali soap. I hand washed it two times prior to the clay treatment. I used the Gloss-It green clay bar and went around the vehicle twice to make sure I had off any contamination and to further remove any remaining Zaino polishes. I then followed up with one more hand wash around the vehicle to remove any clay contamination and started my 3 stage drying process using the new Gloss-It micro-fiber drying towels. These towels did a great job and I did not notice any hologram or swirls from them as I dried the vehicle.

Once I had the vehicle completely dried I started applying the Signature gloss using my Porter Cable 7424 and the Gloss-It blue waffle foam pad. The pad makes quick time of application of the polish and soon I had the car coated with 6 coats of Signature Gloss Polish. I let the polish to cure as I started working on the inside and the engine bay.

I started cleaning the interior using the Gloss-It Satin Leather Cleaner. This product is amazing and does a great job with out drying out the leathers and vinyls. Once I had the interior cleaned I started applying the Satin Leather Polish to all the leather and vinyls in the vehicle.

I then took some focus to the engine and started to clean it. I applied the Gloss-It T.R.V. to all the hoses and plastic items in the area.

Next I applied some of the Gloss-It Signature Tire Dressing to the tires and applied the Gloss-It T.R.V. to the wheel-wells. The T.R.V. goes on very smooth and I applied it using a 2 inch micro-fiber applicator pad.

I then checked to see if the polish had cured yet and started to take off the polish.

I called my client and informed him that I was completed with his vehicle. He came out and had a big grin on his face. He said "WOW! you really brought out the depth and color this time".

Thats when I told him about Gloss-It polishes and why I switched. He said he could tell a huge difference and was very pleased. He even told me that coming down his stairs he could tell how shiny the car was.

Another happy client! Enjoy the photos from this detail.

As a recap the products used in this detail were:

Gloss-It Green Clay Bar
Gloss-It Signature Gloss only available to Authorized Gloss-it detailers.
Gloss-It Satin Leather Cleaner
Gloss-It Satin Leather Polish
Gloss-It T.R.V.
Gloss-it Evolution Polish
Gloss-it Gloss Enhancer

That is a crazy shine! The reflections are so crystal clear! Great work.

Gloss-It just what is the difference in the Gloss Finish and this Signature Gloss that is only available to the detailers?

Great work and amazing shine! But what was done to the top, looks like a black top on the 360? Any special product/treatments used? No love for cab owners?

That's a great job you had done. How did you clean the engine bay with the tight areas?

I'm so jocking on the 360.

Signature is a product that will keep customers coming back to the Gloss It detailers (detail centers). Signature offers an even more crystal clear look and eye popping gloss than the already awesome Gloss Finish...and the kicker? "Durability", signature can go 12-14months and bead like a maniac. Gloss Finish is still a top notch product and surpasses any nuba I have used and blows Zaino away but for the extra wow factor Signature takes the cake. Im sure Brian or Rich can elaborate more on the product.

Love the paint, but hate the shine on the leather. Should remain matte, original look.

detailwerkz.com,

I see. Too bad I don't have a blower to clean my engine bay, then again, my motor is okay... Nothing much to show off.

Why would you coat 'polish' on the car? Isn't polish meant to cut the surface and smooth it out? Is it just a filler?

That is why paint correction is needed to remove the swirls and holograms for good, and not hide it with a filler. The only way to know if you are using a filler is to apply then wipe clean using a ratio of 50/50 of water and Isopropyl alcohol.

Gloss-It does not have any fillers in their polishes and by layering it you are sealing the paint even more give it more durability and more clarity and depth in the paint.
In my experience with Z5pro on black cars I didnt find it to be a true filling type product. I mean most applications of Z5 were after extensive correction work but still if some light RIDS and swirls remained I would grab Z5 thinking I could mask them a bit...but it didnt do much of anything. After a while I just started using Z2pro on black instead. I like the finish of Z2 better.

I agree, I use Z5Pro all the time and it really has no real filling abilities.

Why Sal Zaino chooses to say it has some filling abilities on his website is beyond me, but in person he'll tell you it's really no different then Z2.

That's sounds like you have work with it more. 30 percent better? Doesn't seem z5 it works well, but it does in some ways. It just need more effort then I guess.
