Leather Seats - TOO MUCH Conditioner, Shiny and Sticky!

OK, so I had my leather seats redone using the leatherseats.com product (in the Supra). The second they were done, I basically POURED Lexol leather conditioner on the seats as a "first condition". Now I'm regretting it! Not only are they nasty shiny black but they are STICKY as hell! I've had ppl tell me to try oxyclean, to hot water, to simple cleaner but I can't seem to fix the problem! Can anyone give me something good that will work? I want to get rid of the stickiness and shinyness and put a nice coat of conditioner on that won't be sooo damn nasty looking and feeling.

I was going to suggest a hot damp wash cloth to wipe off the residue but if you've already tried that then I'm not too sure.

Have you tried steam cleaner yet??

you might want to steam the seats. We use a steamer on heavily soiled seats, and it works great. I'm NOT talking about a carpet extractor.

Not a problem. Use Autoglym Interior Cleaner and go to town. I may take a couple of applications, but this amazing cleaner will strip off all the conditioner and give a clean dull look back to the leather. Then use a gentle leather conditioner like Zymol Treat or einszett Leather Conditioner. The great thing about the Autoglym Interior Cleaner is that you can use it on carpets, vinyl, alcantara, etc. It's a versatile interior cleaner.

Moe - this sounds like the best solution for me as I do not have access to a steam cleaner. If I can get some Autoglym and then follow-up with Zymol, that works for me! I notice on your website you have both but only one size for the Autoglym, anything smaller or does it only come in one size?

Thanks a bunch and I hope this cures my problem!

it works great to, when you have the bolsters all wrinkled up and it stiffens the leather like it was brand new.

That's the only size we offer. It's a 1 gallon that is accompanied by a smaller 500mL bottle. The 500mL bottle retails for $9.99, so we figured, for $18 more, it's a better value to give the client more product. Trust me; this product will amaze you. If it doesn't, I'll buy it back.

Yes; the Autoglym Interior Cleaner can be used on leather, vinyl, plastic, carpets, headliners, alcantara, suede, etc. It's an excellent interior cleaner. One word of caution. If your leather or vinyl has been re-dyed post oem, test in a small area. We've never had any issues with oem leather or vinyl, but depending on the quality of the repair done, there may be some dye that is pulled when using the autoglym interior cleaner.

We received your package back on Monday and UPS claimed it was damaged. I couldn't see anything wrong with it but the 1 gallon Autoglym Interior Cleaner was missing. Our supplier for the interior cleaner is getting a new shipment for us on Friday. I'll make some phone calls today and hunt down a gallon of interior cleaner. If I find it, I'll send everything 2-day and you'll have it for the weekend. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Moe
