Helping Hand

Needed some help, and Aaron stepped up to help on some cars as my knee is not up to snuff(surgery in November) dialed in Sharkwerks (zkermit) and James (turttle) GT3 RS'S for the European Car photoshoot next week.

Aaron thanks for helping out the old man(Aaron is only nineteen but has his act together) see you for the Ferrari F-40 Tuesday.

Very nice work guys. I am glad to see a mentorship starting. Honestly I think that would also be a very good edition to the goals of this forum.

Bob, I hope you get better. I wear knee pads every day I have worked for the last 14 years because of that. That being said, it is still noticeable the damage that has caused.

Detailers Knee(lol)

Tell me about it, I would like to blame detailing but did Muay Thai and ran to much on the concrete years ago@ over 250 pounds. I really got hurt helping my neice move into her house fell down not one but two landings of stairs holding a big box.

As for passing along the knowledge, I have been looking for a young guy who had the right temperment and passion for detailing. As those who love detailing novice and pro alike, you have to love it especially when you are correcting " that car " that is kicking your a** . Aaron of AC Detailing is starting out and wants do every car he can, as I am trying to put a fixed location shop in with Tony Ito my head detailer @ Performance Art maybe Aaron will be part of the mix, we shall see? He knows so much more than I did when I started just needs seasoning.

He helped me yesterday as well on two more Porsches and I told him there are MANY more where that came from!! four years ago I was working seven days a week until the wife shut that down, sixty hour work weeks were normal, I even burned out a DeWalt rotary to the point it could not be repaired!

Great work! Nice to see you finally hire some help. He looks to be promising. If he has the passion and the drive he will make a great detailer! My shop foreman has been with me for 13 years, and he still going strong! I remember when I went from just myself to building a crew. You and I are not the young bucks we used to be

Opening a shop will truly give you the work environment to produce top quality paint correction and offer many different services under one roof!
