My car gets really dusty at night. What can I do to dust it off? I have been taking a microfiber cloth and gently wiping it off. Am I okay? Or will I scratch?

Can I add a duster to my kit?

Moe I have a question about the HD Cleanse I ordered from you a couple of months ago. When I use it do I need to wipe it all off or is there supposed to be some when I apply my titanium? Is it similar to an isopropanol wipe down?

Thanks

If your car is driven, don't bother wiping it down or dusting it. This WILL microscratch the clear.

Your best bet is to use a forced air blower like the airmax.

If you have light dust from it sitting in the driveway or in the garage, a natural wool duster is perfect.

Hope this helps.

The HD is designed to be a pre-wax cleanser...you want it to be on the paint. If you notice, after polishing with a synthetic like Menzerna, HD cuts down on the gloss but give the paint a warm glow and more depth. Then wax to protect and enhance the work you've already done.

Excellent question

I'd just wait until the weekend and wash it....after all the hard work you put into it, it would be a shame to have scratches from wiping it down.

I will very rarely use a microfiber to wipe it off, but I will always couple that with a quick detailer like Prima Slick. And definitely not if it's dust from driving it. You have more of a tendency to pick up things like brake dust (small metallic fragments) that way.

This is one of the big selling points to me for the CRSpotless. The car get's a little dusty, just rinse it off with the CRSpotless and you're good to go in most cases. Well, if you have a garage to park it in at least.

I don't use dusters except occasionally on wheels, but that's in rare instances. But I'm sure that the one Moe is talking about it safe as I have heard good things about them, just never used one myself.

The duster I'm recommending is 100% australian lambs wool that creates static electricity and gently removes light dusting. Not intended to take the place of washing. PM me if you guys want one...new pictures aren't up yet.

It's funny you asked. I finally got to the bottom of it.

The Australian sheepskins are desired more because the wool is harvested once a year and the batches are more uniform that way. The quality can be monitored more closely to achieve a better end result. This isn't done anywhere else in the world.

It's lovingly known in the car circuits as the "California Car Scratcher"

I use mine for the dash and wheels only. (not the same one - I have a couple)
