curb rash on wheel

have a little curb rash on a wheel of mine, is there a simple DYI repair for this? I hear you can just sand it down smooth and then repaint or reclear.. what ever the final finish type the wheel is... before I attemp.. just wanted to see if anyone can confirm this or point me in a new direction.......thanks

pictures would help.....it's been my experience that it should be left to a professional..it shouldn't be more than a few hundred dollars.

Good luck, my wifes RRS has curb rash on almost all the wheels, I think she seeks out the curbs on purpose.

here is ca, u can find someone to fix it for $75-100. elsewhere are cheaper usually.

hope ur rim isn't chrome or have some exotic finish like those on M3 which are like $800 a gallon or something.

I just got a pretty bad chuck taken out of my HRE... I actually clipped a parked F150 running board trying to negotiate the bike lane in SF gridlock traffic.

Have a specific recommendation here in Bay Area for $75-100?

I've used them on two sets on wheels (in Kansas City) and have been happy with the results.
