3m clear bra glue removal

I just peeled off my 3 year old, torn hood 3m clear bra to replace it with another one. But, in removing it a great deal of the adhesive was left behind on my hood. I'm having a heck of a time getting this residual adhesive off. Anyone have advice on how to best remove this adhesive? Thanks.

3M glue is a chore. You can purchase 3M adhesive remover in aerosol, spray it on, let it sit a few minutes, spray some more, then wipe with a towel. It will take some time, no way around it. Site Sponsor Moe has it on his website for sale.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went out and bought the adhesive remover and it worked. It did take a great deal of patience and time, but it worked. If I had known it was going to be this laborious I might not have removed the old 3M film!

Thanks again for the quick response guys.

In general, we do recommend professional removal as it can be quite laborious to remove.
