The less you touch or rub anything across your paint the better which is why blowers are the best IMO. If you don't use one then most choose a microfiber towel designed for drying.

I use a 2.75HP electric leaf blower. Works great with the CR Spotless system. No streaks or water spots!

my wife is already considering putting me into a mental institution for buying the Porsche. If i bought a leaf blower to dry it.that might put her over the edge.

You don't want to use chamois anymore...synthetics trap too much dirt in the cells, and the natural one is difficult to use not to mention it will strip off wax.

The newest technology is microfiber foam-core drying cloths. It's basically a foam absorbing material sandwiched between two microfiber waffle weave towels.

Our GP MicroDry towel is from Korea, revered to be the finest microfiber currently being made. The nice thing about using these towels is you wash them after every use.

Using a dryer is another great idea if you couple it with the CR Spotless. Here's a promo that's still running right now.

No, I don't think so. CR Spotless is a water di-ionization system. It removes the minerals from the water to avoid spots. It is not for human consumption, says so on the box. I think a water softener adds chemicals to the water, no?

Cr Spotless is one amazing piece of technology. I love mine!

From the manufacturer...a little chemistry lesson:

Fundamentals of Deionization by Ion Exchange.
Deionization is a method used most often by laboratories to produce purified water on demand. All naturally-occurring water contains dissolved mineral salts. In solution, salts separate into positively-charged cations and negatively-charged anions. Deionization can reduce the amounts of these ions to very low levels through the process of ion exchange. Cations are removed by cation exchange resin. It replaces sodium, calcium, magnesium, and other cations with hydrogen ions (H+). This exchange produces acids which must be removed or neutralized by anion exchange resin. Two general types of anion resin are used for deionization: weak base resin and strong base resin. Weak base resin adsorbs strong acids, while strong base resin exchanges chloride, sulfate and alkaline anions for hydroxide ions (OH-). The hydrogen ions from the cation exchange process combine with the hydroxide ions from the anion exchange process to form water (HOH or H2O). Because the deionization process is so effective, the water quality is usually measured by the water's resistance to electric current (in OHM-cm). The end result is purified water that won't leave mineral deposits - water spots - on your car!

I have a whole-house water softener and use a CR Spotless when washing my cars. My well water is EXTREMELY hard, so a water softener is a must. The water softener helps out when washing the car because it allows the car wash detergent to foam much more, and the hard water (calcium and magnesium carbonate, phosphate and sulfate) ions are removed from the water. However, the water softener alone replaces these "hard" salts with "soft" salts (sodium and chloride). These will still spot your car's paint and windows. The CR Spotless removes these remaining salts resulting in a spot free car. The really nice thing about the combination water softener and CR Spotless is that the water softener GREATLY extends the life of the CR Spotless resin.

My wife thought so too, until she saw how much it reduced her laundry load.

I use the CR spotless without any drying or a blower. It is remarkable how well it simply air dries.

CR Spotless would be my top choice.

Electric leaf blower and waffle weave MF towel would follow.
