Qucik question about Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner

Considering how effective Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner is should I assume that in the process of cleaning the wheels it will also remove any protection applied to the wheels (wax, Rejex etc...)?

Thanks

Matt

Chemically it produces an exothermic reaction to open the pores of the paint and remove ferrous contaminates, the neutralized acids will also remove surface protection

2SCOOPS is infamous around these parts
So what wheel cleaner would you use to regularly clean treated wheels? I would imagine that all wheel cleaners are so harsh that it pulls any wax/protectant off of the wheels.

P21S Wheel Cleaner is a good maintenance product that will remove 'light' brake dust contamination

Sintered brake dust becomes heat fused to the surface and penetrates the protection and clear coat...removing the brake dust removes the protection

Thanks for the response. So I would assume that I should use Sonax as part of a complete detail or when the wheels are beyond normal washing... I have found that if I have a good coating of protectant on the wheels I can use my normal car wash to clean them fully.

IMHO, unless wheels are really neglected for a long period of time, P21S Wheel Cleaner or Gel Wheel Cleaner is the safest and most effective cleaner on the market. It's been our go-to cleaner and the only one we use for the past 3 years.
