RUF Rturbo 550 PS Exterior Detail

Here is Sergio's Ruf....

A little on this car its a RUF Rturbo 550 PS

Here are the specs:
RUF Rturbo 550 PS
Power Output(DIN) - 405 kW (550 bhp)
at Engine Speed - 6000 rpm
Output(DIN) - 113 kW/L (153 bhp/L)
Displacement - 3.600 cm³
Maximum Torque - 780 Nm
at Engine Speed - 4000 rpm
Compression Ratio - 9.4 : 1
Consist of: converted turbo charger, control unit, RUF intake manifold, sport air filter, RUF exhaust system and reinforced clutch

It sounds and looks amazing the car is a full conversion!

Condition: didn't look to bad until it was under the lights. Light scratches, some swirls. The results were great about 95% of the paint was corrected. This customer drives the car like it should be driven!

Products used:

Adam's Car Wash
Shmitt Wash mitt and Shmitt Wheel mitt
2 Buckets with grit guard
Jumbo Waffle Weave Drying Towel
Microfiber Buffing Towels
Boar's Hair Brush
Spoke brush for the inner wheels
Adam's VRT
Adam's Glass Cleaner
Adam's Detail Spray
Adam's Clay Bar
Adam's Metal 2
Menzerna IP
Menzerna 85RD
Phil's Secret Wax... (I have 2 actually, one that is about 25-29% Carnauba content in paste form (which you can apply with an applicator) and the other about 41-49% Carnauba content (this one is similar to the Zymol Vintage which you have to apply with the warmth of your hands. Its just to hard to handle with an applicator pad)
P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel
P21S Autowash
Metabo (hi speed rotary)
Firehose Nozzle
Edge Pads Dual sides (6 inch) green/orange
Edge Pads 2000 (4 inch) green (polish) orange (cut)
1Z Einszett Detail Spray

Procedure:
1. Rinsed down the wheels (they were cool)
2. Sprayed down the wheels with some P21S Wheel Cleaner
3. Brush and cleaned the wheels with a Boar's Hair Brush
4. Rinsed down the wheels
5. Clayed the wheels (just the face/center, not a full wheel detail)
5. Rinsed down the car
6. Filled the buckets up with Adam's Car Wash
7. A great trick I use is to squeeze some Adam's car wash on the Shmitt giving it more suds as you clean. Going from top to bottom I typically go clean the roof then go to the bucket and rinse the Shmitt hitting the grit guard to make sure its clean for the next section (repeat this till the car is done) do this more frequently as you get to the bottom of the car and the back of the trunk/rear bumper.
8. Rinse car off throughly
9. Since there was no sun out and it was cool, I sprayed Adam's Detail Spray on the panels and proceeded to clay the car (Adam's Clay Bar) after each panel and each window was clayed I used the WW Drying Towel to wipe the excess detail spray off.
10. Car is clayed and dried.
11. Got out the Metabo with the green/orange pad and Menzerna IP
12. With a MF Towel I buffed off the Menzerna IP
13. Finished up polishing the car with Menzerna 85RD.
14. With a MF Towel I buffed off the Menzerna 85RD
16. Applied the Phil's secret wax to each panel and used a MF Towel with some 1Z Detail spray to wipe the excess off to a super wet/deep/shine....
17. Cleaned up the windows with Adam's Glass Cleaner (interior/exterior)
18. Dressed the tires with Adam's VRT (did one pass on the applicator and did a pass using the dry side as the customer prefers a matte finish)
19. Used 1Z Detail Spray to do a final wipe down on the wheels.
20. Used the 1Z Detail Spray for a final wipe down on the car.
21. Wiped down the door jambs with 1Z Detail Spray
22. Adam's Metal Polish 2 on the tips

depends on what you really want out of the product, its a great to maintain your car with after a big job like this one. A coat of Buttery Wax etc.

As for the items I used above I use them pretty much on all the details. The VRT is great and finishes off matte with no slinging, the Adam's Car wash creates alot of suds, the Adam's Glass cleaner, and pretty much the whole line is great, but for paint correction I would sway to Menzerna.

E-mail me if you want more info.

Phil's work is truly amazing, you guy's have to see it to understand how he brought this paint back to perfection. Sergio could not believe how his car looked when he picked it up from my house.
