Question for f430 owners

HI

I have a small dumb question;

When you start your car and put your key in do you have to turn it like a normal car but towards the end you stop in accessories and push the start button?

Or is it like the new BMW's and Benz's where you just place the key in and push the start button without any turning of the key?

And to shut the car off is it just like a normal car or is it like the Benz and BMW where you push a button to turn it off?

Thanks for looking and if you have a answer THANK YOU

You were right about the dumb question

You put the key in, and turn, then it is recommended you wait a few seconds until the HUD says its good to start. Then you push the button.

To turn off you just turn the key.

Its exactly the same as BMW or Mercedes. You still need to turn the cars ignition into accessorie mode and then press the start button.

What an uncalled-for insult!

What's so dumb about his question?

He had a perfectly valid request and directed it to those who knew!

There is no turning involved in the BMW or Benz you just pop in the key and push the button no turning involved

Hi

So you need to turn the key to the accessories postion kinda like a normal car then push start so it doesn't have the extra turn with resistance for the starter?

And to turn it off you turn to the off just like a normal car, the key doesn't pop out like the BMW or Benz's

Thanks for the response

That's correct. You turn it clock wise and lights and your gauges come alive, as well as a whirr from somewhere in the drive line. And to turn off yes, turn counter-clock and then remove.

Cheers
