I just transfered my deposit from Scuderia to F142, but on the contract it stated as model F430 F1.

My dealer told me the reason is Ferrari won't allow them to accept deposit for an unknown future model.
Any thoughts? Do you think the salesman is cheating on me?

I haven't even heard much about wht this F142 is. Could someone enlighten me? Must be purported to be an amazing car if it made you switch from a Scuderia order...

I think he means the F149, the 2+2 convertible. There have been many spy pics of it over the last 6 months, it's the one that looks like the 599.

 

F142 is the replacement model of the F430, expected in 2009/2010.

2 years left to replacement of f430? damn ferrari is moving fast. i would put my money on scuderia as its the best ferrari ever made imo. after enzo and f40 ofcourse hehe.

 

I guess he means F149...retractable hardtop, "entry level" Ferrari.

Shift your deposit back to Scuderia...don't get a Ferrari made for the "masses".

 

I told our friends at Ferrari of New England that I wanted one end of last year. I should get mine within the first couple.

people said hte same thing when the f355 came out, then when the f360 came out. ferrari keeps out-doing itself when no one can imagine how. they are really operating on a whole other level compared to a lot of other manufacturers.

 

I will take your Scuderia Spot if you sell me, I am serious.
I have a spot for the F430 replacement.
