360 clutch life

How many miles do you actually get out of your 360 clutch? Please specify if its F1/6MT, whether its modded or not and whether you track it or not.

much thanks!

depends on how you take car of it. mine has 10700 miles on it and has 40% life yet. Its an F1. I've heard of cars that go 20k before it wears out, and I've hear people blow through them in under 10...

I just don't see why there isn't someone in the aftermarket building a better clutch? 20K miles on a high dollar clutch sucks.

The best aftermarket approach is to have the flywheel resurfaced, pressure plate resurfaced and heavier duty springs installed, and then have the clutch plate redone in Kevlar.

There are two sources who do this and the total is under $800.00 for all three!

These will far outlast the OEM regardless of the tranny type.

Take your pick based upon where you live in the country. They are both very good and very reputable.

Dealers will not do this but independents will.

Forget the OEM replacements. That's like remarrying your ex-wife!

Gcalo-

have you dont whit with your own car? curious how the car drives with the different material and stiffer springs. I have an F1, so wonder how that would be effected.

The issue with the F1s is that the tranny ecu only deals with the clutch in its first approx 5mm of wear. once it goes through this, the clutch has to be replaced because the ecu won't push the hydrolics any further. F1 clutches that are removed still have a ton of life left on them...

Doing mine this Spring. I have 4-5 friends who have done the same with great results and on F1 as well.

AS to F1 if P.I.S. is properly set with SD2/SD3 you should get extended wear.

Stay out of "auto" mode.
