I still can't believe you have to kiss a dealer's *** so that they'll let you, if you get lucky enough, give them $200K for a car. That's nuts. Supply and demand I suppose.

i'm pretty certain ferrari BSs about their production numbers too. i keep hearing they only make 4k cars/year yet they made 1500 stradales in 04 alone! it seems hard to believe they only made 2500 other cars. no doubt they made more than that just in modenas and spiders without even getting into enzos and the rest of their line.

Modena accounts for 75% of total production approx. 4k/year. There have been 71000 ferraris produced to date out of which approx 17500 are Modenas. This Is what I was told @ my Ferrari dealer. My 430 has arrived and I will be picking it up next week. I can't wait. Its an F1 in nuevo nero daytona. Will post pics soon.

not to get picky, but it's base msrp (with no options) is $35,500 + destination. And there is no way that would beat the cobra in the 1/4 mile. It will hand a cobra it's *** around a track but not in acceleration, also it's a track car...even though it's production, thats like comparing a ferrari 360 to a gt3 rs.

I'm considering the F430 along with the 997 turbo when they arrive. I'll wait a year to see how it plays out and which one is easier to get.

This waiting, depositing and speculating thing has been going on since dealers realized that car nuts will pay a premium to get the new highly demanded models.

Great marketing strategy on the manufacturers part.

I would assume you would have a better chance at getting a 997TT before a 430 unless your willing to pay a huge premium on a pre owned 430. The 360 was sold out for the first 2 years unless you bought a pre-owned car, and they were going for 250k. Your better off putting down the money at a ferrari owned dealership and paying MSRP and waiting at least a year or waist an additional 50k getting one when they come out.

I would get a 430 as well if I could but I don't want to wait 3+ years to get one at MSRP. The other issue is that I liked the 360 and costs went down so I could afford one but then why spend the money of one when a newer version is coming out.

So the way I see it is that when and if one was able to get an 430, the next generation would be right round the corner. So that is not appealing to me.

i agree with the previous posters-you have to be out of your mind to kiss these dealer's asses. as is said, it seems easy to separate a fool from his money. go ahead-throw your money at them.

A friend of mine owns several dealerships including Beverly Hills Lambo and was allotted 2 Enzos for clients. I got my turbo brand new at a discount from him, so I could get either 430, or 997 turbo when they arrive I would imagine.

beverly hills lambo does not get allotted new ferraris. vick may have pre-owned, or delivery miles only ferraris, but not first-owner, brand new, or at-a-discount. that is just wrong information, period.

Well, that's what Vik has told me, and it is a fact with my car. By the way, you spelled his name wrong.

Call him and ask him.

I've bought and sold several cars with him, and am friends, but he's in the business of moving cars, and he's very good at it.

As far as GT2nest saying BH Lambo doesn't get allotted Ferraris, he's right, but Vik owns several other dealerships and has quite a few personal connections. Rod Stewart, Nick Cage, the Maloofs, etc. all buy from him as well as many NBA and NFL players.

He got me a brand new X50 in '02 and has the ability to get any car I've requested so far...
