Can't get MAryland State Inspection Completed on 430 Scuderia?
I am in the process of trying to get a Maryland State Inspection done on a 2009 430 Scuderia, but this one state trooper refuses to pass the car without a documented "rotor discard weight". The only spec we have been able to obtain from dealers is the initial width of the rotor, not the weight at which they should be replaced. Note, these are the ceramic rotors. Does anybody have any info that may be of help?
Ive have yet to own a Ferrari, so excuse my ignorance. But are they subject to this type of detailed inspection regularly? Or is MD really THAT strict?
It seems like its the type of situation that its a personal issue on the officials part, for him to be so critical...

move to TX, we'll get you inspected LOL
sucks to hear that you are having trouble with passing, I don't know the situation, but it sounds like the trooper is really jealous, I would be too (I'd pass you tho
)
if Ferrari won't help you, I don't see an option other than replacing the rotors? (which I know is VERY costly) but it may be one of your few ways out
Good luck passing inspection

Tell me exactly what you need and I will see what I can dig up. What is the trooper doing, your VIN verification? Why is he asking for those things? Anywho, let me know, I might be able to help...
