The 550 is heavier and torquier, definitely doesn't feel as agile in the twisties, but it makes a great GT. For its bulk is no slouch on the track, where it is about equivalent to the 355 in lap times. Straight line acceleration is perhaps a bit quicker than the 360.

I think I like the looks of the 550 better. Performance-wise - I wish I could tell you!!!

from my limited experience,

575m feels like a luxury car when just cruising but the car seems to plant it self to the road when driving hard. the torque is great and these cars (550 & 575) are a tremendous bargain in the US.

the 360s i have driven exp with an exhaust have a rawer feel and there is no mistaking its race car heritage after a short drive.

to me they are completely different cars and i think that seat time is the only way to really tell whats right for you. they are both very capable cars. edmunds just did a long term review on their 550 that they purchased new. which is fairly informative. also forza magazine has some nice writeups. sorry, don't know the links.

I have owned both and the prior posts are right on. The 550 is a true GT and while offering very good handling for its size, you always are aware of the mass of the car. At speeds its great, the torque is awesome and as smooth as any car I have ever driven. However, I live on the coast and ALL the roads twist, so for my purposes, the 360 is more fun and the lighter the better. I am tall and the 360 cabin is actually roomier with much better headroom. Both great cars, you just need to be clear about your end purpose.

550 got the torque u want but feel way heavier than 360. 360 is slow cuz lack of torque but handles lot better than 550. this is just surface though. u'll need to be more specific of what u want out of it.
