Yellow Ferrari 458 Outside at Ferrari Long Island...With door and window open in rain
I'd just like to put the word out that if you are or know the owner of a yellow Ferrari 458 that was at Ferrari of Long Island in Plainview two days ago, well, I have the unfortunate job of telling you that the idiots there left your driver door a crack, and the window open...during the rain storm.
I have a video I recorded, so if you develop a musty smell or electronic issues...that could be a reason. Just wanted to pass the info down. Shows that no matter the cost of your car, negligence exists at any dealership.

What really happened. There are two sides to every story and things truly aren't always as they seem.
From the owner of the dealership posted on another forum.
First off i want everyone to know i was never offended. If you read all of my posts i truly wanted the truth nothing more nothing less. Obviously, my first choice would be that no issue occurred, second would be that its taken care of privately but the customer is told and third choice is to look at this as a chance to improve.
Second, i want to confirm that Arnold did send me a video. The door was not in the fully closed position (when you close it too softly) so the window was open a crack. Please don't crucify him for tying to help. Although we are all leery on here because some people use the forums inappropriately or for personal reasons, but in this case Arnold was not. And i am grateful for his help
Third, we did confirm that a 458 was dropped off after hours by an independent towing company. The towing company returned in the am and moved the car. So there was no way for us to have known what had happened. The car had came and gone very fast and didn't have any water inside. I am actually confirming the dates and addressing the towing company (who i do not control) immediately.
i sent this PM to Arnold k.:
Thank you for the update and your assistance. . Unfortunately its impossible for me to see what car it is. i was able to confirm that a yellow 458 was brought in after hours by a towing company and left there which would explain the car outside in the middle of the lot (although it is not an excuse but it would be out of our control). Can you tell me what day it is so i can check the cameras and see for sure? The vehicle showed no signs of water whatsoever so there was no reason for us to know what had happened. I obviously have an issue with the towing company which needs to be addresses immediately. Unfortunately it was not Ferrari Road side so the towing company doesn't really answer to me.
FYI. I am not upset witt you at all. OF course i want to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible. We do want to learn and continually improve. Obviously i don't want to look bad to the public especially if it is not something we did. But i appreciate your dedication and desire to help the customer out. By the way in the future please feel free to contact me directly if something like this happens or if you want to chat about anything.
Finally, i do not consider this issue closed as i want to be 100% sure that a) we didn't make a mistake, b) if the car was indeed wet that it is thoroughly inspected and c) the customer is notified. I will make sure all of that is taken care of.
