Has anybody installed front bumper skid plates in their F430 as a DIY?

You have to drill into the bumper for the install so if you feel comfortable doing that, go for it. As for me, I wasn't willing to risk it to save on the ~$150 installation fee.

I would stick with the larger sized ones from Premier, rather than the smaller Ricambi ones. I bought mine and had them installed by Ferrari of Newport Beach. Surprisingly, I tried to buy the part from Premier directly and they tried to sell it to me for more than the dealer.

Search ferrarichat. Lots of posts and DIY pics on there. Skid plates are a must on this car. I learned the hard way and had to have my bumper touched up because of it.

Stevely, May I ask how much did you pay for parts and labor to newport beach ferrari for skid plates? I'm considering to drive to OC from SF valley to have this done. That's really nicely done. It looks like it was made by factory for the car.

Premiere Skid Plates work great, we have been selling them & installing them for years.

It's easier to install the skid plates by removing the bumper especially the Scuderia & 16M. We usually keep them in stock.
