Advice on 360
Advice on 360
I'm looking at moving from a 997.1 Turbo to a 2004 360 Spider. This one had 3 owners and major services completed at 7000 miles and most recently on 4/2011. Has custom stereo with custom bass unit surrounded in matching leather. It has no rock damage and front, fender, rear deck clear bra. It has and market 20 inch rims (rear tires being 345s). Interior looks very good (no carbon installed). Here are the other specs:
2004 Ferrari 360 Spider with 10,600 miles
Grigio Titanio / Bordeaux Leather
Fresh Clutch, Tubi Exhaust, Rear Challenge Grill, Aluminum Colored Brake Calipers, 6 Disc CD Changer, Battery Charger + Prewiring, Electrically Operated Seats, Front Rear Challenge Style Grills, skid plates, Scuderia Ferrari Shields
The dealership is asking $104. How much should I try to negotiate this down to?

20" wheels might be too large for a 360. Aftermarket stereo would hurt the value if anything. Recent major service is a plus. 104k seems pretty damn fair i think for that car. see if you can get them to 100k and i think you're doing well. 2004 is a later year which will still add some value.
why stop there might as well just get an enzo!

Yes I agree it would be but well worth it. I would be concerned with investing in a 360 given the miles he has outlined, and the fact the car is already out of date. This is why I realize many folks that want a Ferrari buy them because there currently affordable. Upgrading to a 430s would make more sense looking at it from all angles imho, the 430s will remain in high demand and hold resale much better than a high miles 360.

On the flip side, the 360's have hit the near floor of their depreciation, e.g. A 2002 (10 years old) with miles in the teens can be had for around $75k.
You could buy this, drive it around for a year and sell it for near what you bought it for, save taxes.
Btw, 10,000 miles is Not high miles on a 360. These cars are meant to be driven and do fine as long as service is done and belts every 3-5 yrs, etc.
Scuds and 430's are still depreciating.
My only concern would be the 20 inch tires and the 345 tires in the back. I cannot imagine how that messes up the clutch and the handling. Also, as mentioned the stereo does take away from the value. But at the end of the day there is a cost to getting what you want and if the stereo is something that you like I am sure that you will enjoy it. Good luck.
I've been shopping around for a 360 spider and recently purchased a 2001 with 17k miles on it.
I've looked at a lot of these cars and this seems like a very reasonable price for those specs.
