Faster way to accelerate?

In the video, at around 2min 18, putting the manettino dial on race, not using the launch control button and pulling the down shift to activate (what seems like) transmission failure and holding revs cause you to accelerate quicker? (obviously when the brakes are released ). Just curious if this is some company secret that they don't want owners to know?

It's a hidden launch control feature, but very hard on the clutch.
