458 Reliability?

I am considering a 458 but concerned about reliability. For those whom own a 458...........how would you rate the overall reliability?

Thanks very much!

Gentlemen......I am very sincere...can anyone help. I have zero experience with Ferraris and it is on my very narrow list of contenders.

Please help!

I haven't heard of any issues on the F458 aside from the earlier ones catching on fire. The only complaint I've heard is that the car be too tame when not driven hard. However, a mode change quickly fixes that.

To me, the F458 is probably the best new exotic under $300k now.

Transmission sensor issues can cause you to lose one side of the gearbox. Try F-Chat, whole section dedicated to the 458.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln..... Seriously though -- it's one beautiful car!

Thanks Guys!

I did some additional reading last night and found the same, small problems here and there. Great and beautiful car.

There are so many new supercars being released in the next 1-3 years making the decision harder.

Mine has been flawless.
The greatest car I've ever been in or driven. It's flat out phenominal in everything it does.

Do you think it's suitable as a daily driver?

Mine has been flawless also. You should also know that the 2012 up cars have free 7 year service. I had a 430 and never had any problems with it either. I think its the best overall exotic out there. And, yes I have driven everything but the Mclaren. I have sat in a couple though and don't care for the interior. Just not as nice a place to be as the Ferrari.
As to the daily driver question I would never use any exotic as a dd. Its just a waste of the car and money.
