Qs997Turbo is infamous around these parts
New F430 Owner

I just purchased a 2006 F430 2 days ago. The car is Nero black with Beige interior and lots of carbon fiber including the racing seats.

The car sounds amazing stock, but I was curious if any of you have gone the straight pipe route. I like loud cars

Any maintenance tips?

How do I keep the Engine Bay clean and give it a shine? I am not sure what products or process is the best to clean this area of the car.

Thanks!

Quite a simple solution for the time being is to unplug the exhaust valves. They normally open under hard acceleration but if you unplug them they're open all the time.

A harmless, but impressive little fix. Really wakes the car up.

Congrats BTW!

Haha, I did this the evening I picked up the car. I plugged the tubes with golf tees :-)

I did this as well, but on a Spider, it can be a bit much on long drives.

If you have a Coupe, the best system I have heard is the Capristo complete system from headers back (with remote control valves). Cars with this set up truly sound like F1.

Great color choice, although black is a ***** to keep clean. I have to watch it nearly every week. But when it's clean it looks simply gorgeous with the reflections.
