Thumbs up Go with the Ferrari!

F430 all the way, and if he likes the top down, get him an F430 Spider. Of course in red!

Have driven all of these recently (except #5), here is how they rank for me:

1. Gallardo LP-570-4
2. Ferrari Scuderia
3. Gallardo LP-550-2
4. Gallardo 560-4
5. Gallardo Super Leggera
6. Ferrari f430
7. Gallardo '06-08
8. Gallardo 1st gen

Currently, I'm not considering anything past #4, and the 570-4 is out of my price range.

this is clearly an emotional/subjective item you are inquirying. But, if you look at all the facts and hold the emotions aside, Ferarri 430 is the better choice. You should drive both cars and help that guide you. 430's are a huge improvement over the 360's (no did like) but not nearly as nice as a 458 (but the 430's are bring about half fo the 458 price tag), thus a solid F pick.
