Patience is the key. You should be able to find '95 355B close to that price , hopefully valve guide and proper maintenance have been done. Although, as everyone had said, wait until you can get the 360.

Depends how much you drive it. IMHO, while I like the 348 and 355, you can't get a car with a good history for that kind of money and not have it eat you alive.

I'm going to get shot here for these suggestions, but I would either go to an NSX (especially coming from an S), a Porsche Turbo, or a Vette Z06. All of those will give you WAY more performance and reliability for the money.
