Yes. I forgot to mention that when the speedo reads 160, I'm really only doing 100. Damn Ferrari.

Thats the Ferrari way, proven by disgruntled Ferrari CS owners. Overrate the power, understate the weight, and give you a mis calibrated speedo to make you think you are going fast. The noise is there, but then you look at other so called lesser cars, that are still out in front of you, that supposedly shouldnt be.

 

Ben had a CS and bought a CGT. Guess what happened to it afterwards? Even mr. Nick Berry of Rennteam, a hardcore Ferrari fan, was quick to acknowledge that the car was miles above anathing he´s ever driven (had 360s & 430s).

 

thanks for more real-world evidence. Ferrari must put a limiter on cars it ships to Hawaii due to the limited road space and consequent safety concerns. sorry allanlambo,

 

Look up Ben´s old posts on 6speed and Rennteam. I personally think the 360 CS is a great car, it´s just that I prefer 911s.

Ive owned many an Fcar, and was dissapointed by most. Inmo, other than the F40, they are all worthless, with the 360 being by far the epitome of the word. BUT, I will admit, I did recently drive a 430 F1 and a 430 6 speed, and the F1 was an awesome drive. The 6 speed is still notchy crap, but the F1 was superb. Even on my site, where as people say i am Lambo biased, I noted that when i drove the gallardo e-gear, i was unimpressed, and left knowing I would much rather a 6 speed, while in the ferrari I absolutely loved the F1. Compared to the early e-gear Gallardo, and even the Ferrari F1, it is miles better. The Power of the 430 is also SUBSTANTIALLY improved over the 360, Id say on par with the 6 speed Gallardo i had recently driven also. I still feel the Gallardo is a much more exotic looking car, the 430 is not exotic looking inmo, I also dont think that the 430 is worth the 100k premium over a similar Gallardo, but if money wasnt an issue, there was already a Gallardo in the garage, the 430 F1 is the First Ferrari in a long time id be proud to have in my garage.

 

Well now i see what your basing your statements off of and that's respectable. I havent had a chance to drive all of the cars you mentioned, so i cannot comment sorry to say. Me personally i would never buy a 360, im such a perf. nut and that is just status and looks to me.. My m3 would eat a cs and im still not satisfied with it, that is why im going with a 996tt maybe a gt2, we sha'll see..

The F430 and Gallardo are both gorgeous, both so exotic looking and again, i hav enot been in F430 but the Gallardo is a great drive, F40 is a serious car, why no mention of the Enzo? Price is insane but from a drivers pov without price tag involved, its an amazing car no?

Some people just don't know what they want... The 360CS is a perfect car in every possible way. There was only 1 lawsuit by a lawyer in the UK claiming the car can't reach the advertised top speed. The 360CS is not over rated, the US cars have less HP my guess due to emissions. While the acceleration doesn't come close to a Murcielago many people would still take a 360CS over any Lamborghini.. Driving dynamics is more to some then straight line performance. The 360CS is a race car for the street, the same can be said about the Porsche GT3 RS. People buy these cars to enjoy them for what they were made for, and that is the track. You can't compare a 360CS to a regular CS, they are two different machines. Even though looks and engines may be similar the experience is totally different.

Some of us just don't understand that and will continue to compare the 360CS to other supercars that cost more and have engines more then twice the size of the 360CS.
