Thinking of selling...price question
We are thinking of selling our 2006 F430 F1 Spider Red/Black. Options include shields, power daytona seats, special red stitching, red leather on steering wheel (top portion), leather rear shelf, and a couple others. Also added aftermarket skid plates up front.
What is the market value of this car? Will it be better in the Spring/Summer? If so how much will it increase?
The reason for selling is that the car is not getting much use (only about 600 miles on the car since August). I don't see my dad driving it a lot over the Summer either.
Here are some pics. For more pics you can go to http://www.kdub.net/gallery/index.ph...m=Ferrari_F430

beautiful car there...great color combo.. to answer your question.. the 06 spyders are going for ~$330k +/- $10k.. It's sort of difficult to predict the market value over the summer...obviously, it will be lower than what it is now... my guess would be that it'll still be over $300k, but the premium you can command now will not be in the summer. Good luck with the sale! Also, why on earth only 600 miles??!!!?
The car needs to be DRIVEN!

Hmm, I'd have thought the price would INCREASE in summer, not decrease.
Summer is a great time for people to buy cars, especially "summer" cars.
Mid winter is a great time to buy a car (I just bought a 348) but a bad time to sell.

The reason for the few miles is the fact that we were out of town, plus there has been unusual snow in Seattle. Also I thought the same thing as simon, that spiders (or really most exotics) would be more sought after in the Summer time.
Vincent, wish I could, but driving it to UW would not be the best thing. If it was a coupe, and my dad let me, it would be my daily driver.

If you are going to sell it, sell it sooner than later. The car will begin to depreciate as more hit the market. I am seeing them show up at the dealers around town which means there is inventroy out there and it is growing..
You may want to call Brandon at Sports Cars Italiano in Burlingame(650-558-8258), Mario with Luxury Motors(916.455.4556) or Jim Lyons with the Sports Car Company..The market always demands a bit more in Ca & FL

430 spiders fetch between 60 and 80 over whatever your sticker price on it is. I do agree with the rest of the forum members in that the pricing in the 430s will have to come down. Additional supply and competition will do that.
With the Carrera GT pricing at the lowest we've ever seen. You could argue it's in competition with the current market priced 430 spiders.
A C-GT which can be had for 325-350ish vs. a 430 Spider @ 300-325.
