That's awesome. He's the "icon". Phenomenal rider. Anaheim....1986! Too sad like you said but a true fighter in every sense of the word. An inspiration to us all.

Kudos to you for being a good friend to him.

 

He won the Iron Man in 2000 in the wheelchair class. Championship caliber human being, and an example to me. I took a short ride in his wheelchair just navigating around the house, and I was speechless. It was worse than I thought just to get around. I am thankful that I raced bikes for 20+ years and have survived it all.

That's awesome. I loved listening to his "color" commentary on the motocross and supercross tv airings. I listened to him on dmxs radio a lot as well. When I was a kid riding BMX in the 80's, Bailey made me want to wear JT.

I met him at the Daytona SX in '05 and I have a picture with him as well. Awesome guy!
