Doors hit walls when they open

Hi Guys,

I usually post in the Cayenne forum, but have been drooling over your garage pics for months.

Here is my problem: my garage is 10' wide inside, and when my kids open the rear doors to my Cayenne they hit the walls. I have trained them to be careful (and are doing a good job), but they sometimes slip.

Any suggestions for where I can get some padding to mount on the walls so the door edges don't get damaged?

Thanks!

That does sound good.
I was also thinking about getting some heavy vinyl type product in red and upholsetering iit to over foam rubber onto 8" wide strips of plywood and ahering it to the wall.
Then I could paint the walls below the homemade protector gray, and white above it.
What do you guys think?

This should work for you;

And this for the other side of the car. It's ugly but if you have small kids, who cares about how it looks;

I use the pieces of foam that come on brand new Porsches, they stick them to the doors for transporting, i just rip them off with the white plastic underneath, take them home, then unstick them from the white plastic, and apply as needed...looking for a pic....

Thanks, mkell. Looks cool, but $80 for 4 doors, and the padding looks thin too.

I think the padding should be quite enough personally. Would you rather pay $80 or have several chips on the edge of your doors that would wind up costing much more to repair if so inclined?

I have used these for 4 years. I accidentally slam my door against the wall hard and nothing happened. Sure worth the extra $.
