Question for guys who have a 4 post lift
Do you bolt yours to the floor? I installed mine a few weeks ago and I'm not real crazy about the way the posts lean and turn when the car is raised. It seems stable if you try to shake it, but I think it might not be a bad idea to bolt it to the floor. Any thoughts?

I would bolt it down, certainly for safety reason and rigidity.

If it came with casters it does not have to be bolted down. They are designed to be free standing. There are 4 post lifts that are ment to be bolted down such as benpak and rotary. All two post must be bolted down
Technically, the only lifts that are not supposed to be bolted are the ones that have the closed box design like the backyard buddy. The Rotary and similar designs received their approvals based upon being bolted, and as such have holes in the footplates for bolting.
That those designs are also sold with castors is quite interesting to say the least.
I have a backyard buddy and it doesn't rock or move at all when lifted, with or without a car loaded.
