Sounds like a good deal, but i will wait & see what other options are available.

 

heres a tech question for you. i had a set installed into my fogs (h3) and originally i did not use a relay and the fogs would flicker on but would turn not stay on. sometimes they would flicker and stay on and after leaving them on for more than a few minutes they would not restart. later on i was told to install a relay and the same issue arised but now they barely ever stay on...

whats the deal, are they just a low quality set up?

ps. i have installed several set in my other cars (BMW, MERCEDES, HONDA) and never used a relay and never had any such problems.

 

WHat model vehicle is this on? My guess is the Porsche? IIRC the Porsche has a LBF(Low Beam Failure/Light Out Warning) built in. This is used by BMW, Chrysler and others. Since it thinks the bulb is out it turn off the light, then tries to restart the light. This makes it flicker off and on over and over. It is bad for the kit and will eventually kill it.

You need a module/capacitor/resistor that 'tricks' the computer into thinking it has an OEM/Bulb in the fog and you will be all set. Shoot me a PM. I have a couple I could sell. Just need to know the car so I get you the right one.

What all does your 2 year waranty cover? *** The 2 year warranty covers all kits and it's parts, so if you ever encounter any parts that either dies out or defective, we will replace them for you, no questions ask. (eg. if your bulb dies out, send us back the bad bulb, we send another good one out to you)

anyone installed these on their Porsche yet? wanted to see if they flicker or have issues igniting in fogs...

 

Hi,

We did have a few Porsche customers, and like the Mercedes, we have a special wire that bypasses the computer so you will not get flicker or error message, this special wire will be included when you order the kit and note that you have a Porsche in the comment area. Our ballast already includes the ignition built in so we have no problem installing these in fog lights.

What is your YRmake Model and I can double check the bulb type for your fogs. Thanks!
