Bucket seats bolster protectors

Before the details, this group buy has been approved by GT3 Chuck.

As some of you may have seen, I recently posted a thread (below) regarding a project of mine. As some of you have requested or expressed interest, I contacted GT3 Chuck for the approval of an ONE TIME group buy for the community.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...rotectors.html

These protectors are made in the USA and use Ultrasuede. The grey color pictured in the thread above is a very close match to our Porsche Alcantara, however, it is not 100%. The the protectors are attached to the bolster at 3 points below.

1. With a hook-and-loop (aka Velcro) to wrap around the belt hole near the back rest.
2. With a hook (aka Velcro) at the front to adhere underneath the cushion.
3. Two gromets tied to the seat mounts with elastic drawcords.

These protectors were made for my personal GT2 buckets seats but I would venture to say that they should fit most bucket seats. If needed, I can extend the length of mounting point 2 above and provide a long elastic drawcord for mounting point 3 above to accommodate seats with higher bolsters. If this is needed, please PM me and we can discuss.

The cost of these protectors is $130/pair shipped within the contiguous 48 states. I'll need a minimum of 10 sets and I will need a $25/set deposit via paypal and the balance will be due once the items are ready to ship (approximately 3-4 weeks after closing the group buy).

I am only allowed to keep this group buy open for 2 weeks so this will closed on 10/14/2011 at 11:59PM PST. Again, I am only allowed and will make just one production run. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via PM or email (my usename at gmail.com)

If you are interested, please put down your username below with how many pairs you would like (please copy the list prior to you so to help keep it organized and easy to follow).

Hey guys, i got a question regarding the color matching of the materials and the below are some pictures of the material compared with the oem material on teh car. It was hard to capture the color of the alcantara and ultrasuede as the different angle/light would affect the color. Again, the charcoal is not a 100% match but it is close.

BLACK - the oem leather is more of a grey black whereas the ultrasuede is more of a blue/jet black

CHARCOAL - again, the charcoal is not a 100% match, but it is close. the alcantara is more of a yellow tint and the Ultrasuede is more of a blue/green tint

For the folks with the 996GT3 buckets, I just noticed an issue with the fitment. It looks like the side mounts for these seats do not have cut outs like the 997 GT2 bucket seats (see first picture in post 1). The only way I can think of to make these work is to change out the washer on the front bolt (left bolt in picture below) with a battery terminal ring. This way you can loop the drawcord through the end where the wire is suppose to go in and have it secured to the bolt on the side mounts.
