What happened to the 2 Carrera GT's (if im correct) from the movie REdline, they were slighty damaged and I caught one listed on Ebaymotors for sale. The other one was also listed the previous week i believe.

What happened to them?
Anyone on here or FChat bought them?
If the price was right, would you buy a salvaged GT?

 

One belonged to the producer and was completely destroyed.

 

When they finished that movie they should have taken it outside, burned it and collected the insurance.

Unbelievably bad movie. One of the very, very few movies that scored a perfect zero on the tomatometer.

Both of the CGTs were the producers, he totaled that one because he had two of them and wanted the wreck to be authentic, if I remember right.

 

True, but the one that was destroyed was a salvage title. It had already been wrecked. They patched it up enough to shoot the scene.

Then there was the infamous Enzo wreck. I always did wonder if they did that on purpose to hype the movie.

I read in a magizine that that Enzo crash got over 1,622,132 hits in three months.

 

Too bad the movie didn't get that many hits

 

i had to stop that movie half way. couldn't take it anymore.

 

I get upset everytime i hear of a GT crash, these people allegedly wasted 2. I hope there are enough around in decent condition when i am finally able to afford one.

 

you're not the only one. I went one step further and made confetti out of the DVD.

The only one destroyed was the salvage title car. The other CGT is fine.

Several parts of the destroyed one were on ebay for a while. Probably trying to recover some of the losses from the movie. Maybe if they sold every part for 37 times the MSRP they could break even on the movie?
