Issues with my GT3

First, Let me introduce myself. I'm Bryan Perry from Edmond Oklahoma. I first heard about this site from of all people a friend who has a Ford GT. I've been lurking here ever since. I bought a guards red GT3 2 months ago and have never been happier with a car in my life.

If possible would some of you guys clear up some issues I have?

1)The TPC is a pain in the ***. Even if the tire pressures are set to factory recommended pressures with a good quality gauge; sometimes it reads one tire is low (usually the LR) especially if the temp is cool but the light doesn't go out even after the tires warm up. Any solutions?

2)Monday, I started the car from a cold start and it sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders and I got a low oil pressure warning on the OBC. I immediately turned it off (about 3-5 seconds). I then restarted it; all was well: sounded normal and oil pressure above 5 bar with cold oil at an idle. Any thoughts?

3)Same night as above I checked the oil with the electronic dipstick and it read about 1/4 above the min line. The oil was around 200 degrees at this point. It has always been 3/8 to 1/2 above the min line before. Therefore I immediately checked again. This time 1/8 above the min line. Then checked again, it read at the min line. Checked again and now read the oil level is low. Each time I checked the count down to oil level took a little longer. I actually got out of the car to make sure oil wasn't running out onto the garage floor! Luckily it wasn't ; What gives?

4)I've read most of the posts about the PCCBs. Are they or are they not meant for racing/track days? Do most of you that track your car frequently run the PCCB or the steel brake rotors? I've heard everything from the gen 2 rotor will last 100K miles to they will last about 4 track days from various sources.

Well thanks guys for listening. Any insight will be greatly appreciated !

Congrats on the car...
1.It is a pia and all P-cars from 2007 on have them standard unfortunately. I would go through the OBC and reset it. Having said that it takes a while for the sensors to read correctly.
2.Doesn't sound right. I'd get an OBDII and check for any codes. It the CEL went on then you have a stored code. With that in your hand you'll know more...
3.Are you sure you're on a completely flat surface? Just checking.. again that doesn't sound right.
4.I've tracked on the PCCBs as have others but for extensive tracking I would convert over to steel if I were you.

Stick with the ceramics, there is so much mis-information it is not funny.

I didn't think it sounded right either. It was fairly cool that evening, about 40 degrees. I initially thought it was just cold natured like my BMW M's have been. However when the low oil pressure message appeared I immediately turned it off.

The oil level was checked warm, level in my garage after about 1 minute at idle.

I guess I will take it in to the Stealer and let them run a check on it.

As far as the PCCB goes, if you plan to only track the car occasionally, stick with them. But if you plan to be a hard core track junkie and push the car, convert over to steel as there have been many reports of the ceramic rotors shattering under extreme temps and the replacement costs just don't justify the repeated shattering you will experience. Hopefully, some more people can shed some light on it. Hope this helps.

if the sound goes away after the car is warm you are fine. Its normal to hear some clanking going on off a cold start.
