True. Apples and Oranges.

Although, I was at Laguna Seca this past April with Skip Barber racing school and had a chance to see the LS-F testing there on a private test day. GUESS WHAT they were using as a rabbit? Of coarse, there was a 997 GT3 that was lapping with the IS-F. I'm sure they were collecting data and trying to make that pig of a Lexus more of a 'sport' car.

It was a pretty cool site to say the least. It is cool that Lexus is getting in the gaim, but c'mon now, it's a Lexus... a'hem Toyota. The GT3 was walking all over that IS-F thing.

Apples and Oranges? More like apples and rocket ships.

I don't think this race happend, becuase we all konw what would happen if a GT3 RS raced a IS-Fugly.
Well - I can safely say he may have "thought" he was racing someone, when that GT3 RS guy didn't even know he existed.

I had many times where I was just driving fast and for some dumb reason one or two "Fast and Furious" wannabe ricers just decided to start racing me. When I actually realize they are chasing after me I usually pull over to the right lane and slow down.

Last thing I need is more attention from cops.

It doesn't make sense to compare the two cars. The GT3 is not about straight-line acceleration and the sport sedans will alway be a threat to folks who worry about 0-60 numbers, etc. If in that camp, a Turbo would be a good choice. The IS-F will not be a match for the GT3 on a track or twisty road. It will put up a good fight 0-60 but will loose there too.

An IS-F could be compared but IMO, that's silly.

Comparing it to an Audi RS-4 or Mercedes C63 is more reasonable.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you are saying, you keep comparing small four door sedans on steroids with a stripped out lightweight sports car. Just because they may do 0-60 doesn't make them remotely similar enough to compare. You first said that the two types of cars aren't for comparison, I agree with you, now you compare them? riight.

A ford turbo diesel truck can do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, should that be compared to a gt3?
I will run my 250 next to it in a straight anytime...
