Trade Difference?

I have a 07 Guards Red GT3 with black painted wheels, PCCB, PCM/Nav/Chrono, phone module, xenons, Adaptive seats, crests in headrest, fire ext, red belts with 3700 miles. MSRP was ~$127,400

I want a blk/blk/blk wheels GT3 (really I want a GT3RS but am not going to pay $40,000+ over MSRP)

Found a new 08 GT3 with opions below; they want $15,000 over sticker for this car. Its mentioned in a prior post you've likely seen. I would likely have to change the wheels b/c the polished rim on the black painted GT3 wheels detracts from the black car in my opinion so thats another $6000+.

Black, Black full leather, Black wheels/ black wheel crests, Black painited console, Ceramics, Sport chrono, Foot rest aluminum, Xenon's, Floor mats, Heated seats.
MSRP $124,835

What do you guys think a fair trade difference would be? Should I wait and try to pick up an RS in 6-12 months closer to sticker? I'd likely have to take more of a beating on mine at that time.

Thanks, Bryan

There's no reason to buy completely new wheels when you can just have the exsisting rims painted all black. It shouldn't cost you more than $1000 to have that done.

Also, if you are patient you can find these cars at or under sticker (not necessarily new, but what's the difference you know?). I wouldn't pay 15k over.

Thats a good idea. I may do that to my wheels on my present car.

I know I should wait and see if the RS prices come down in the next 12 or so months. I'm very happy with my red car and I'm not going to pay 15K over sticker just to change colors. I think it can be bought cheaper than that anyway.

Nice F-car BTW.

But back to my orginal question. In todays market, what would be a reasonable trade difference?

I think your right. I want BLK/BLK/BLK/ with ghost flat Black RS stickers (not easy to find). I'm #1 on my local dealer's list for the next body style RS anyway.

Your best bet is to find a black/orange highlights one, and make the orange go black.

You must have been the 1 call I missed tonight from the 405 area code. You did not leave a message.

Call me tomorrow if you are interested. Good choice on the Blk/Blk/Blk.

I have been in groups of 10+ GT3's with mine being the only one. All others are either white, green, or orange (not that there is anything wrong with those colors).

I just posted this up a couple of days ago. Have had a few trade offers and 1 person from SoCal that sounds kinda promising.

Mine is absolute showroom with all the goodies.

Bob

I do not think you will find an RS in 6 months near msrp with the dollar being so low right now. We are going to see a lot of these cars heading out of the country.
