"Take-Offs"

Is there anyone out there that sells Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires for a GT3 that are used? I have only 2 track days left that I can make this season and I do not want to waste the money on a new set.

Karl, The only place I can think of for used cups would be Ebay, but I disagree with your thoughts of a new set being a waste of money, when it comes to tires and brakes its never a waste of money, 2 very important tools, just buy a new set is my advice.

used race tires

I buy used slicks for my formula mazda from Berget Tire. You could call John Berget at (262) 740-0180 to see if he has any suitable tires for your application. He sells 2-4 heat-cycled Hoosiers and GoodYears (maybe others) at a very reasonable price (around $200/set).

I have a set of MPSC's that have around 12 - 14 heat cycles on them, 2 track days at Willow, and a few street drives. They have lots of tread, if you really want a part used set I could go for it, as it'll give me the impetus to put a new set now rather than wait for the next few track days.

Thank you for the resources. As for the comment about wasting money....it is all in the planned use. I plan on 2 easy days, then the car will be off the track for at least a year, maybe two. I don't need a new set, especially since I am not driving hard. I only do that when I am getting paid

It was only a helpful comment, nothing negative, why are you laying the car up for possibly 2 years?

I might have taken them! I was out of town until today!

To the previous post: I am laying the car up due to a move and my starting of a new business venture. I might try one of the open road racing events.
