Hey TK6, well for starters you would get rid of a lot of the rubber bushings etc.... Tarrett Engineering has a bunch of cool parts like that. I'm going to be using the Cargrapic plug-in coil over suspension. If you want more adjustability you can always "nuke" the PASM and go to Moton Clubsports or JRZ tripple adjustables of course.

TK my friend you need to drive my GT3 and then decide which way you want to go.
As Alex said there are some real good components out there but heck I'm sure you know all this stuff.
Lets get together and put "big bird" to the test (beat that boy).

If you haven't already tried an aggressive alignment, I would try it first as it really does change the way the car feels (yes it will wear tires faster but not much).

If you want that razor edge feel, try (-2.6 front, with 1/16th total toe out and -2.2 rear with factory toe in). If this setup doesn't do it for you, change the OE front 235/35/19 for a 265/30/19 MPSC and for even more change the front toe out to 1/8th total).

All the other suspension stuff is for the benefit of 10/10ths track driving - if that is you then removing all the rubber stuff is what you want to do - if it isn't and the above alignment doesn't do it for you, then your next choice is a 2000# Lotus.

If that is your white gt3 with the RS wing and black wheels then we have similar taste except I also have the alignment that I mentioned above (plus s few other mods) and I can guarantee you that the turnin is razor sharp

Good luck

How does the above set up compare to the stock set up, i.e. what is the stock numbers?

The stock setup numbers are in your manual near the back but basically -1 front -1.5 rear with lots of toe in on the front for stability

The car doesn't need much more at all in the rear but really benefits with more negative front camber and less toe in (if not zero toe to toe out for track days) if you like that really sharp steering feel

Let me be the first to say, there is a new suspension that Oakley Design is working on/with that was developed and is USED in their cup car currently. Its an Intrax 4 way adj suspension with some TRICK reservoirs and one of the most sturdy yet sexy looking pieces I have laid my eyes on...I would give them some SERIOUS thought in this matter...

In one of my research visits to race teams, a crew chief told me when I asked him if
motons were needed for the GT3, that the 997 GT3 suspension does not need replacement, unless you are Micheal Schumacher or going wheel to wheel. It just has to be aligned properly. He looked at me paused and said "Porsche really got it right with this one." Take thats for what its worth. One mans opinion.

997GT3north:

Do 265/30-19s really fit in the front? Are you running them w/o any fitment issues?
