PCM question

bought a rebuilt pcm that is supposed to be like new, installed it to replace the oem radio, and when i went to turn it on nothing happened, just some noises like it is starting up,,,,it put in a cd but no screen or sound,,,,does the porsche dealer have to activate something with the PIWIS system? or should i have gotten some kind of welcome screen on start up? thanks

bart

i was told from suncoast and porsche that if you dont have PCM already in your car, you have to get this one.. http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...y_Code=987elec

then you still have to go to your dealer and get it programmed
