GT3 RS pricing in future compared to ferrari?

When a new "gotta have Ferrari" comes out, how long before it reaches MSRP on second hand market? How will this translate into the GT3 RS market?

I dont think it affects the RS market. the 360 has passed through the MSRP market and the 430 hasnt.
How do you think it affects the market.

Just wandering how long it will take for the GT3 RS's to sell for MSRP? 3 months, 6 months? Some of the pricing is out of this world and i'm having a hard time validating the purchase right now if they are just going to start tanking in price.

This is along the same lines as the question i posed about the basic 3. See my thread below for more incite. IMO sadly, i think the RS's will hold strong for at least another year before coming down to MSRP. There's one for sale at MSRP on Rennlist, but it's in Canada.

MSRP will come with miles IMHO. That will also spell the beginning of the depreciation curve for the regular GT3. The RS pricing has definitely helped hold up the prices on the GT3.

Actually this seems more logical. +1 for MSRP coming with miles.

Tar6day. Guys that want 40-50K over are sitting on the cars. IF you were to do a search for a black with orange/trim or certainly a silver with orange trim you should be able to find one around 10-15 over certainly the silver ones. But its going to take some research since some of these guys think its still just after roll out and they want the big bucks. I am hearing those guys are sitting on those cars for months. SO keep calling and try to find a realistic seller. what ever you do let us know.

They may not come all the way down, but they will come down with in 10 or so depending on color. The Standard GT3 is almost the same car. People wont pay the big premium knowing the GT3 is as close as you can get without putting on stickers after this initial gotta have it cycle runs out. Gotta admit its gone further than I thought . would I have one? you betcha but not at the premium.
Do I know whats gonna happen ?nope just guessing. I should pay as much attention to the stock market as I do the GT3 market.

They seem to be holding pretty well but only the future will tell

I know someone that just sold their Orange RS with very low miles to a buyer overseas (Asia) for $200+

"Limited production"===> this is one of those cars which won't fall 50-60K from today's market anytime soon. The Feds need to study Ferrari's and Porsche's books as a business model for our economy.

MSRP is coming..its a great car but its still a raced out 997, nothing very exotic or limited production. Granted it is an amazing car; the price will continue to fall.

There are about 260 GT3 RS listed on the registry, but due to missing information or unknown VINs, about 40 were omitted from the above count
From Rennlist Registry

My opinion is they are limited production to some extent. Just wondering how that will translate into future pricing. Believe me I realize this is not an investment with any kind of appreciation! Just looking for opinions before I pull the trigger.
Thanks,
Tim

I disagree with everyone, I don't think the GT3 RS will ever sell at MSRP. If anything after 2008 they will start getting stronger like the Ford GT's. Just look at the history of the Ford GT's and the Porsche CGT. Plus too many people out there paid way over sticker, not too many people were able to get the car at MSRP. If I paid 20-50 over I would never let the car go until the market adjusted.

Exotic I dont get it. You can get a Ford GT and CGT now for well under MSRP,
infact I saw a FGT go for MSRP on Barrett Jackson and that had to cost!! the buyer
had to pay a buyer fee and the seller has to pay the barrett precentage OUCH!!!
